History

The Club was founded in 1928 on land given to the local residents. The residents agreed that the land could best be used for the purposes of a Sports and Social club and four Trustees were appointed to hold, in trust, the freehold of the land; to grant a lease to the club; and to see that the terms of the lease were observed by the club.

The objectives of the Club are to foster and develop social amenities for the benefit of the Members of the Club, including outdoor sports and games, and indoor recreation and amusements.

The affairs of the Club are managed and its finances controlled by an Executive Committee consisting of five Officers and six other members all to be elected at the Annual General Meeting of the Club and to hold office until the next Annual General Meeting at which they are eligible for re-election. More than one half of the elected members of the Executive Committee must  be resident on the Gunnersbury Park Garden Estate.

The different Sports Sections elect their own Officers and Committees.
